the money from the grant: “High Tech Offensive” it is planned to install a
lab for mobile robots. The robot can drive and speak and after a later upgrade
see. The students learn about the differences of detectors (ultras sonic,
contact, gyro compass, laser scanner). They use radio data transmission between
the robot and computer, and try to implement voice entry and response
communication. This allows complex experiments like “real” communication
with the users and independent route planning by the robot, etc. A second step
is the installation of two video cameras on the robot to implement image
